Head of Property - Piccadilly, London

We have a great opportunity for a Head of Property, reporting directly to the CFO responsible for ensuring that the Group buildings and equipment are maintained and protected along with managing and delivering capital improvement projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage building and equipment maintenance activities proactively
  • Ensure facilities meet statutory, environmental, health and security levels
  • Supervise Housekeeping and ensure high standards are maintained
  • Manage Security contractor, supervise day to day and ensure CCTV operations are appropriate to needs. Investigation and reporting of incidents
  • Manage disposal of waste and recycling including reporting
  • Act as the first point of contact with Met Police on security matters and ensure awareness is maintained throughout the building 
  • Liaise with members of the Exec, Management Group and other managers to ensure that issues raised are addressed

Project Management

  • Plan and oversee building work, renovations and refurbishments and Direct Project Manager to deliver Masterplan key projects
  • Review and optimise space utilisation within Piccadilly
  • Identify opportunities for improvement
  • Responsible for health & safety training, risk assessments and adherence to safety procedures

Leadership

  • Actively support the company’s CSR strategy and promote energy efficiency, waste and water reduction initiatives cost-effectively
  • Input to and manage budgets and costs of Maintenance, Housekeeping and Security to ensure deliver on target
  • Manage Third Party Contractors to ensure high standards and that any contracts are cost effective with performance standards
  • Active member of the Management Group and contribute to achievement of group plans and objectives
  • Develop teams, set objectives and monitor performance

  • Good communication skills with the ability to make complex and technical simple and understandable
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage external  contractors
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal input from Line Manager
  • Needs to be a good communicator and manager with an open style of management
  • Delivery focused with strong follow through
  • Capable of managing teams and setting clear targets
