To join the pastry section of our Kitchen Brigade Tylney Hall is a four red star hotel; a magnificent mansion set in beautiful grounds in a rural location. All visitors to Tylney, whether staff or guests receive a warm welcome & the highest standards of care. Overview; How would you like to work in a beautiful 4 red star Country House Hotel & Gardens set in rural Hampshire? At Tylney Hall Hotel, we require a Pastry Chef de Partie to join a passionate brigade of 18 Chefs in total producing quality 'made from fresh' dishes. Some dishes will be one off specialities and others will be creatively produced 'en mass' for large functions. Food Preparation that our Pastry Chef de Partie are involved with includes artistic dishes for our 2 rosette restaurant, light meals/room service meals, afternoon tea sandwiches and pastries, food for conference guests and private banquets for up to 120. Our main kitchen produces the food for all of the outlets in the hotel, and on occasions different events can be running simultaneously. For the right applicant this can be a live in position. Skills and Attributes; - A fully qualified chef
- Will have at least 3 years experience as a Commis with at least some in the Pastry section with exposure to a variety of menu styles - 2 rosette (or similar) exposure desirable
- Work with the Senior Chefs to encourage creativity and passion within the Pastry department
- A clean and tidy worker who plans ahead, leads by example and conforms to all food safety legislation
- Will remain calm under pressure and deliver amazing results consistently.
- Be aware that due to the nature of the business, the normal shift pattern will include split shifts, bank holidays and weekends. Rota 5 days out of 7. In Return;
