Bar Person Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club is a stunning grade two listed country house set in 186 acres of beautiful grounds on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. An award winning 4 red star Hotel, fine dining two rosette Anderida Restaurant and fully equipped Country Club and Spa, we offer our guests a complete experience. Bar Person Overview: A Bar Person at Ashdown Park Hotel will provide the highest standard of guest service in the beautiful Bar, Lounge and Terrace areas, maintaining our 4 Red Star standard. Your bar area will need to be run effectively and hygienically at all times ensuring attention to detail and subtle selling technique. Your communication skills and 'can do' attitude which you will use with customers and with your team members will be one of your biggest strengths. The Bar person will help the Bar/Lounge Management team to improve the operational efficiency of the Bar Service; including abiding by Company and Legal standards and be proactive in helping out the Lounge Team as required.
Attributes/Experience: You will need a very good command of English and be extremely well presented. Our Bar person will be confident in working within a team or on their own using initiative. A Bar Person at Ashdown Park Hotel must have sound beverage knowledge including Cocktail work and be aware of the UK licensing regulations. A Personal license would be an advantage. Previous experience in a similar customer service role with some leadership skills is desirable as is having 4/5 star exposure in a food and beverage environment. You will need to have excellent attention to detail and be 'standards' driven. You must be aware that the hours involved will include shift work and weekends/ bank holidays.
