Conference and Banqueting Assistant (Variable/Casual Hours)

Tylney Hall is a beautiful 4 red star hotel in stunning gardens set in rural Hampshire. It has recently received the 'best kept secret' award by Facebook fans in the Laterooms.com Hotel of the Year competition - this was because of its charm, warmth and glorious parkland surroundings
Position Overview Conference and Banqueting Assistants at Tylney Hall Hotel welcome and look after the needs of our conference and banqueting guests, whether it be for an important board meeting for 10 Company Directors, serving wine for a Wedding party of 100 or anywhere in between! Conference and Banqueting Assistants at Tylney Hall Hotel are constantly aware of our guests' needs and recognise the expectations of customers staying in a four red star Hotel.
In summary, the successful candidate will work on a Casual basis and help to prepare our many function rooms to an immaculate standard ahead of the events. Function sheets will need to be read, and directions followed in the tiniest detail in order that our guests are wowed from the moment they walk through our doors! Then our Conference and Banqueting Assistant will be involved in servicing the function rooms, serving food and beverage and clearing up at the end. Our conference and banqueting team are central to the success of the hotel; they are a hardworking, dedicated and professional team. Attributes and Experience A good understanding and ability to speak and read English is crucial. You will need to have confidence working within a team but equally alone. You must have excellent attention to detail. Previous experience in a food and beverage, bar or porter role is essential with experience in a 4/5 star Hotel desirable. We are in a rural location so own transport is essential Please note: This position is not a contracted role, and you would not be guaranteed any regular hours, however we would call on you to cover staff sickness and when demand is going to be higher than normal - You then choose which shifts to accept.
