Reservationist - Forest Row

Ashdown Park Hotel, East Sussex has an exciting opportunity available for a Reservationist Closing date: 10th November 2016 Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club is a stunning grade two listed 106 bedroom country house set in 186 acres of beautiful grounds on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. An award winning 4 Red Star Hotel, fine dining 2 AA Rosette Restaurant and fully equipped Country Club and Spa, we offer our guests a complete experience.

As Reservationist you will be joining our dynamic team dealing with incoming telephone sales enquiries. Duties will include accurately taking all reservations and guest bookings using our Property Management System; Opera. You will liaise with the Reception team and Conference Office and be responsible for your own administration. As Reservationists you will work to our yield management system to ensure that occupancy and average room rates are maximized. The team also take bookings for our beautiful Anderida Restaurant and Lounges.

The Reservations Office is open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm so you will be required to work shifts. Due to our location, own transport is necessary.

Attributes/Experience

We are seeking an able and articulate candidate who can demonstrate experience gained in the hotel reception, reservations, travel trade or other relevant background. As well as outstanding communication and yield management skills, we would be seeking evidence of success in a similar sales orientated role where monthly budgets and targets have been achieved. Excellent administration, organisation, IT skills and attention to detail is paramount. Candidates would need to demonstrate outstanding telephone sales and customer care skills.
