ABOUT US
Our Retail department play a key role in ensuring our guests stay is as enjoyable as possible and to assist us in that aim, we now seek motivated individuals to join our team. Our retail outlets include the Parc Market, which stocks over 2,500 lines and is where guests buy their daily groceries; Refresh, where snacks and drinks can be bought; Treats, for those with a sweet tooth and our Nature Centre Shop, which caters for gifts and wildlife products.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for Retail Assistants with a passion for delivering excellent customer service to join our busy Bakery team within the Parc Market.
In this role, you will welcome guests in a positive, friendly manner and ensure that they are served quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Other responsibilities will include baking morning goods and hot foods and ensuring all work areas are kept clean and tidy.
Previous experience of working within a retail environment would be beneficial, however full training will be provided. This is a busy department, so the ability to remain calm and perform well under pressure will be required.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 128 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each 4 week period. You will be working on a rota system with the earliest shift start time of 6.30am and the latest finish time is 9.45pm. You will be required to work weekends and some public / bank holidays on a rota basis.

Essential requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Naturally friendly and professional manner
Desirable requirements:
  • Previous bakery experience
  • Basic Food Hygiene Qualification
  • Current Clean Drivers Licence
  • Previous experience of working in a customer service environment, ideally within a retail setting
  • NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service or equivalent
  • Computer literate
