We are recruiting for an Assistant Bar Manager to join our team in the Leisure Bowl. The Leisure Bowl is a busy vibrant bar serving hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day alongside ten pin bowling and child and adult discos in the evening.

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will assist the Bar Manager in effectively controlling, co-ordinating and planning the unit activities in line with Company standards. You will maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through service and value for money to achieve budgeted financial targets. 
Other responsibilities will include helping to lead, motivate and develop the team. This is a hands-on management role, where you will play an integral part in the day-to-day running of the operation, including taking and serving drink orders and ensuring the team deliver excellent service to every guest.
Ideally, you will have previous experience as an Assistant Manager / Supervisor within a fast-paced bar / food and beverage environment. You will be a highly motivated individual, committed to the success of the operation. 
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each 4 week period. Your hours of work will be allocated on a rota basis with the earliest shift start time being 8am and latest shift finish time being Midnight. Public / bank holiday working will also be required.
ABOUT YOU 
Essential requirements:
  • Previous experience of working in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to coach others to achieve objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with and resolve guest issues
  • The ability to work well under pressure and "think on your feet"
  • Food Hygiene qualification
  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English 
Desirable requirements:
  • Previous catering / bar management experience at a minimum of supervisory level
  • Formal hospitality qualification
