Right now, we have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join the Rouge family.  We’re looking for someone who has aspirations to learn all aspects of the kitchen and to be a real support to the chefs.

As a Café Rouge Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be an important member of the Kitchen Brigade and a source of support to your kitchen team.   Your main responsibility will be to assist the kitchen and restaurant teams in delivering the menu and running all aspects of the kitchen – keeping it a safe, clean and compliant environment. You’ll use your passion and enthusiasm to help the kitchen run smoothly and safely. You’ll have career aspirations too – our Kitchen Assistants are our future Chefs and Kitchen Managers!

The role:

• Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
• Collect and wash up pots and pans.
• Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
• Unload food and equipment deliveries.
• Keep the storeroom organised.
• Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised.
• Assisting the chefs in all aspect of food preparation when required
