Food & Beverage Controller

LOCATION:  Head Office, Surrey                    

Burhill Golf and Leisure is a well established multi million, multi site, leisure driven business primarily based in the South East/Home Counties.

DEFINITION:

Reporting directly to the Group FD, you will be directly responsible for the day-to-day financial and commercial control of the food and beverage operations of 10 operating units with total food and beverage turnover of £8m.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exercise effective financial control and commercial management over a large multi-site operation. Monthly meeting with Finance Director to discuss results, highlight any business issues and agree actions. Ongoing  feedback  to  the  Finance  Director,  Operations  Director  and  Chief  Executive,  including  formal quarterly reviews of F&B performance, commercial issues, initiatives and strategic direction. Management of stock, suppliers, costings, recipes, menus, stock taking, production of F&B monthly accounts & reports, control of online ordering systems and dealing with licensing applications.

Candidates are required to have proven hospitality F&B Cost Controller experience ideally with multi-unit or large scale unit organisations with the presence and confidence to lead quarterly F&B reviews, conduct twice yearly F&B audits and effectively identify/improve operational weaknesses.

Due to the nature of the role there will be up to 40% travel to the units requiring a full UK driving license.
