Location  Birchwood Park Golf Centre, Wilmington, Kent

MAIN DUTIES:

Supervises the golf course ensuring the smooth operation and pace of play whilst guaranteeing all players have paid the appropriate green fee.  The objective of the role is to maximize the golfers playing experience while ensuring all golfers observe the basic standards of golf etiquette.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Green fee checks.  Begin each shift working from the 18^th back checking all green fees
• Collect range balls and ensure ball dispenser is well stocked throughout the day
• Ensure that all players are greeted and tee off in their allocated time as the per tee sheet.
• Organise pace of play ensuring each group is maintaining the time standard as set
• Communicate any slow play concerns with the Pro shop/Head Pro.
• To be conversant with the current promotions and local rules
• Ensue all bins on the course are emptied on a regular basis and any litter is picked up
• Check the ball cleaners are adequately filled with a cleaning solution and are fully functional and clean.
• To notify players on the course in the event of poor or dangerous conditions.
• Ensure security on the course and log players who break the rules and note any suspicious vehicle number plates.
• To act under the instruction of the Course Manager.
• Complies with BGL personnel policies and procedures and health and safety procedures
• To undertake any further duties as requested by the management

  WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.  Employee is regularly required to stand and walk outdoors.
