Are you an enthusiastic person who wishes to start your career as a chef in a high quality, fresh food environment?

This exciting opportunity will enable you to gain experience in all areas of the kitchen whilst working towards a Level 2 and/or Level 3 qualification in Professional Cookery.

Our menus have a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world: in other words, modern British cookery. Our passion lies in finding quality ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. As an Apprentice Chef, you’ll assist the team in food preparation and cooking, menu development and food tasting, as well as helping to keep the kitchen clean, tidy and organised.

You’ll need to be able to work well under pressure, our kitchens are busy, fast paced environments but the rest of the chef team will be there to support you.

We’re looking for reliable, punctual, people with a ‘can do’ attitude together with a genuine passion for cooking fresh food and a keenness to learn.

Apprentice Chefs will work between 30 to 40 hours a week and your college time will be included in these. Once you have completed your qualification within the role, you may be offered full time employment with ongoing prospects for career development with a company that has been awarded Pub Group of the Year on numerous occasions.

Please note you’ll need to work weekends and evenings and you should consider how you will get to and from the pub.
