British Cycling is the internationally recognised governing body for cycling in the UK and home to the GB Cycling Team which brought home 34 medals from the Beijing Games to become Britain's most successful Olympic and Paralympic sport. With London 2012 on the horizon, British Cycling has a once in a lifetime opportunity to develop its sport in Britain and together with BSkyB, its principal partner, has a shared aim of getting one million more people cycling regularly by 2013. British Cycling has over 35,000 members who have access to a calendar of over 3,500 events across all cycling disciplines. The organisation is co-funded by UK Sport and Sport England
