LEARN AND DEVELOP

Pub managers start their career with the Bermondsey Pub Company by attending a 3-day induction. This will introduce you to our company philosophy and values, our policies and procedures, ways of working and our expectations of the role. By the end of the course you will have everything you need to start you off in your role as well as the opportunity to build a valuable support network. Following your induction, you will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Pub manager to see how things work in practice. For all new starters, regardless of role, we have fantastic training material to support you in your first 12 weeks to up-skill you on all aspects of working in our pubs so that you can be signed off as competent by your Manager. Ongoing refresher training is provided in easy to access e-learning modules so that you remain skilled and focused in all areas of your role. At the Bermondsey Pub Company, we recognise that, in many cases, the best people to run our Pubs are those that have worked with us in other roles previously. We are therefore committed to developing your skills and knowledge to support you to progress to different and bigger roles. Our regional teams are on hand, along with our Head Office colleagues, to help and support you to deliver a fantastic Pub – each Pub is looked after by a Regional Manager, who has the support of a Regional HR Business Partner and a Retail Audit Manager.
