Assistant Manager Vacancy
Started as the tied estate to Belhaven Brewery and beginning with only a couple of sites, we have expanded rapidly to include both managed and leased pubs and to this day remain the largest pub estate in Scotland.
With over 90 managed pubs throughout Scotland, Belhaven can offer excellent career opportunities for talented individuals
We are looking for an Assistant Manager Doctors Bar and Restaurant. This is an iconic business in the city centre, situated near the old infirmary/medical university and has a bespoke menu and drinks and a selection of over 40 single malts. This is a quality food business where the guests are a strong professional local base
AWT £13k
Food 35%/ Wet 65%
Key Responsibilities
To deputise for the Retail Manager in times of absence.
Promote friendly, efficient and effective relationships with all customers and team members.
Monitor staff performance
Monitor daily operations
Ensure correct operating procedures are followed and company standards are met.
Be aware of the house P&L and actions required to achieve budget.
Carry out regular till and stock checks.
Performance-manage or discipline staff when needed.
Maintain a safe environment for customers and staff at all times.
Essential Qualities
Fantastic people and social skills
Proactive and self-motivated
Love your job - demonstrate a positive attitude all day every day
Experience in the licence trade
Experience in supervising and motivating a team
Ability to follow company procedures and deliver high standards
Computer literate with competent numerical & cash handling skills
Demonstrate due diligence & encourage a safe working environment
Willing to undertake training and personal development
Flexible and adaptable to perform any other duties as required
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings
