Hotel Maintenance Operative - Stoke-on-Trent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join us at the Alton Towers Resort, the UK's only attraction that specialises in making Britain happy! 

In this role you'll carry out all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled general maintenance and Portable Appliance Testing within the Hotels and Waterpark.  You'll ensure that all work you undertake is within relevant legislation, guidelines and codes of practice, and that all procedures are adhered to.  You'll carry out fault diagnosis on equipment as necessary.

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience working in a general maintenance environment
• A minimum of NVQ level 2 or City & Guilds level 2 in a relevant discipline
• Ideally you'll have a PAT testing qualification or experience, but we can provide training if needed
• The role will also involve fire investigation training, so experience would be helpful, although again, assistance can be provided
• You must be an excellent communicator
• Able to prioritise your own workload, as all your incoming work will be given to you via the radio

The role is full time, permanent, averaging 37.5 hours per week and will include weekends and bank holidays as required. The team work early and noon shifts on a rota. There is an extra payment for noon shifts, and 6th day working when required.
