The Deputy Venue Operations Manager will support the Venue Operations Manager with the day to day supervision of the House team and will assist with the build-up and break down of event infrastructures. This role also deputises for the Venue Operations Manager as and when required

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day to day work of the House team ensuring that build up and break down schedules are adhered to - 25%
  • Assist with the set up and break down of event infrastructure including: heavy lifting, shifting of materials and unloading deliveries - 25%
  • Deputise for the Venue Operations Manager as and when required - 20%
  • Communicate regularly with management to ensure effective use of resources - 10%
  • Supervise amenities operatives and temporary staff in carrying out work associated with the building and events - 10%
  • Demonstrate consistent awareness of health and safety processes and procedures - 10%

Person Specification

Essential

  • 1 years' experience acting as a Crew Chief of equivalent role
  • Experience of building stage infrastructure for large events
  • Experience of directing and supervising the work of a team
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Reliable and proactive
  • Forklift license

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a large events venue
  • Experience of working in an historic, listed building
  • Cherry picker license
  • IOSH qualified
