Special Events Sales Executive - Maternity Cover - 45 Hours - 5 Days

Department: Conference & Events – Fabulous Fan Fayre Head Office

Reporting Lines: Sales & Marketing Manager - F3

Purpose of Role:

To manage all non-match day event enquiries for both Manchester City Football Club and Watford Football Club. To achieve the departmental C&E revenue targets with a clear focus on conversion. To produce client contracts in line with the operational requirements and company billing procedures, and to communicate effectively with the sales coordinators to hand over all contracted business.

Responsibilities:

  • To have full and up-to-date knowledge of the venues products and services
  • Manage all inbound enquiries in a timely manner
  • Manage the events booking system, adhering to company standards when recording information
  • Handle customer enquiries or requests providing correct and accurate assistance or information that meets their needs
  • Liaise with the operational departments to ensure that all enquiries are managed effectively in order to exceed the customer’s expectation
  • To create event proposals in line with company standards
  • To have sound understanding of rate cards and P&Ls to ensure pricing remains competitive and events are profitable
  • To conduct client show-rounds, attend client appointments, and support with any FAM trips or client appreciation events
  • Produce event contracts ensuring that all agreed costs, requirements, minimum numbers and billing details are documented
  • Obtain signed contracts from clients in a timely manner
  • Complete company credit checks and issue pre event invoices in line with F3 T&Cs for billing.
  • To communicate effectively with Sales Coordinators to ensure smooth handovers of contracted bookings
  • Achieve the departmental sales targets through up selling, conversion, repeat business and sales leads
  • Develop the retention of business within the department
  • Adhere to all departmental procedures and provide support to the whole team, ensuring the correct standards are being maintained on a daily basis
  • Support in any marketing activities, to include match day activities
  • Handle complaints promptly and professionally, demonstrating genuine care and concern
  • Ensure that the venues guidelines are adhered to at all times (terms and conditions and house rules)
  • Ensure purchase orders are raised for any anticipated costs

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a similar position within a sales team for at least 2 years
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field
  • Understand the Conference & Events Business as a whole, including Christmas, Weddings and Special Events
  • Pro-active and engaging style
