Places are available on our sports coaching progression scheme for reliable individuals who are suitably hardworking, outgoing and passionate about delivering sporting opportunities for children. Applicants must be qualified in at least one field of sports coaching and have significant previous experience.
Applicants MUST have the motivation to succeed, the ability to use their own initiative, and be able to effectively work as a member of a vibrant team. To succeed it is essential that candidates are responsible, organised, and able to continually plan ahead. The position requires good communication skills in order to develop successful working relationships with school staff, pupils and members of our company. Successful applicants will furthermore have a good knowledge of sports coaching techniques and an understanding of effective child supervision and safety. Above all, a positive mindset is crucial as we do not tolerate negativity at SportStars!

A competent level of computer literacy is required, particularly with the use of Microsoft Office and the internet. Own transport is needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To take Physical Education lessons in local Primary schools, delivering the national curriculum through high quality sports coaching (25 to 30 hours per week):
- Analyse in advance concise, structured lesson plans gaining knowledge of learning objectives and outcomes.
- Deliver consistent high quality sports coaching sessions within the structure of the National Curriculum.
- Ensure development of pupils and record their progression and attainment levels.
- Provide whole class and individual progression reports to relevant class teachers.
To set up and run SportStars holiday courses and after school clubs with assistance from the management team:
- Conduct research into the running of holiday courses and after school clubs in your respective schools.
- Promote and market the courses to obtain the maximum number of children
- Recruit, select and train new members of staff to occupy holiday courses and after school clubs.
- Provide evaluations and detailed feedback to staff under your control.
