Sports and Activities Supervisor - Whinfell Forest

We are currently looking for a Sports and Activities Supervisor to support the Management team in the day to day operation of the Sports Plaza. This role includes:

Assisting in the production of activities and schedules of work and the training of staff within the operation of the Sport Plaza

Undertaking supervision of staff to ensure maintenance of a quality service

Following financial procedures (Cash Handling), processes and checks to ensure the safety of all monies.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Liasing with the Assistant Managers and Sports and Activities Manager to ensure a proper understanding of the requirements for the management of the areas of responsibility.

Ensuring that the Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plans are adhered to

Involvement with third party suppliers – building rapport, auditing, checking times/dates of activities, adding extra activities, invoice prints.

To coach, train and give constructive feedback to all staff in the unit

To ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Sports Plaza and adherence to all relevant legislation and recommendation through Health and Safety.

Assist with the development of a varied programme of activities

A good basic education is essential together with previous supervisory experience and a Leisure and Tourism qualification.

Shifts are 7.30am - 4pm or 10am - 6.30pm or 2pm - 10.30pm on a rota basis to include weekends.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, we will require the successful candidate to apply for a Criminal Records disclosure.
