Wigan Sports Development Unit is seeking a Senior Community Sports Coach to join its successful and progressive Team. The roles will make an important contribution to the Trusts vision ‘Getting Wigan Active’ thereby increasing participation across the Borough.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead a team of 15 Coaches to deliver the Community Coaches Scheme across the Borough of Wigan.
- Ensure Coaching is delivered to the highest standard and act as a Mentor to Coaches.
- Co-ordinate the Get Active Holiday Programmes.
- To develop a comprehensive CPD programme for Full time Coaches.
Qualified in at least one sport to Level 2 standard, we are looking for individuals who can illustrate considerable coaching experience. In addition, you will hold a Tutoring Qualification and have experience of both quality assessing coaches and working in a mentor capacity. You will have excellent planning and organisation skills and experience of managing a small budget.
