Job Role
A key business and operational role overseeing ESPA’s Spa Management Division this is a senior appointment within ESPA's Spa Division working closely with the Managing Director and other Heads of Department with overall responsibility for the operational management and success of a portfolio of spas worldwide. Successful candidates must have previous senior operational management experience from within the 5* spa, hotel or leisure industry.
Working closely with the Managing Director and other ESPA Heads of Department to develop the ESPA Spa Management Division in line with ESPA’s Business Plan, whilst ensuring ESPA’s portfolio of global Spas achieve strategic, financial, contractual and quality brand standard targets.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Deliver the ESPA Business Plan to support the rapid growth of ESPA Global Spas
- Develop the business and people in ESPA’s regional global offices to ensure they have the skills to manage their regional Spa portfolio
- Drive and develop the ESPA Spa Management Team to allow them to maximise results within their Spa Portfolios
- Monitor the Spa’s financial and business performance on a monthly basis from P&L, Budget and Key Performance Indicator information and recommend action points for the Management Team to implement
- Develop new initiatives in the Spa’s product offerings to increase sales and service to include Hotel Rooms, Spa Treatments & Packages, Retail, Food & Beverage, Fitness and Membership
- Liaise closely with Hotel General Managers and Hotel Department Heads to align the Spas with the Hotels strategic goals and maximise synergy and internal opportunities for all sales and service
- Oversee the procedures and smooth running of all Spa Division internal systems to include department billing, forecasting, time sheets, Microsoft Project time lines, reports etc
- Oversee the production of all client documentation to support the Spas to include Spa Annual Reviews, Cleint Presentations, Spa Audits, Mystery Shop Reports, Market Plans, Training Plans and Action Plans
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Successful candidates must have previous senior operational management experience from within the 5* spa, hotel or leisure industry.
- Senior Operational Management Experience in Spas, Hotels or Leisure Industry
- Financial knowledge and background in live operations
- Experience from within a five star environment advantageous, especially in live operations
- Strong leadership, team management and motivational skills
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to make key and concise recommendations to improve businesses
- Genuine enthusiasm for the Spa Industry with a passion for change
- Ability to handle multiple and challenging situations in a professional manner
- Flexibility to travel globally with periods away from home
