General Manager

Our client is developing a brand of unique care homes for older people in the UK. One of the differences that sets them apart from others in the market is that they have created a “Village” concept which as well as offering a range of accommodation, also has community facilities such as restaurants and hairdressers.

They are currently seeking a General Manager to oversee the latest site in Macclesfield. They are looking for someone preferably from the leisure or hospitality sector that has previous General Management experience in a multi faceted business and has managed teams of 40+ people.

You must have strong people management skills and be able to demonstrate empathy with your team, customers and residents within the care home.

You will need to be able to identify and prioritise effectively, with the ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.

You will be commercially driven and be able to identify and implement new ideas that will generate business growth. This will need to be balanced with regards to the nature of the care home environment ensuring that the levels of care and customer service are maintained at a high level at all times.

You will be able to develop and deliver a marketing plan to ensure that awareness of the product is maximised within the immediate communities and surrounding areas, increasing levels of occupancy at the home. You will also be required to attract people from outside into use the village facilities on a daily basis, in return maximising the revenue streams.

You will need to be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the needs of the business which is in operation 24 hours 7 days a week.
