OVERVIEW
The Little Gym of Kensington & Chelsea will open its doors on the 1st November 2008.We are part of an international franchise that was established over 30 years ago in the US. The Little Gym is widely recognised as the world’s leading gymnastics based development programme for children. Our curriculum helps children develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially through gymnastics, sports, games, exploration and creativity. Our one hour weekly classes are designed to teach children in a fun, yet challenging environment. Children at The Little Gym are encouraged to be playful and express themselves freely, being urged to meet new friends and share new experiences in a safe, fun and colourful environment.
We are looking for a Gym Director for The Little Gym of Kensington & Chelsea.
GYM dIRECTOR POSITION
The Gym Director needs to be enthusiastic and confident about working with children between ages 4 months and 12 years old. The candidate needs to have excellent interpersonal skills and be extremely self-assured when dealing with customers. The individual needs to be a strong leader and team builder, who is well organised, with the ability to multi – task as well as adapting well to change. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are key aspects to the role. They need to be highly motivated individuals that will drive the business forward assisting the owner with management of all business and operations-related aspects of the gym.
Responsibilities:
- living The Little Gym philosophy and executing an outstanding program
- ensuring excellent customer service
- financial and operations planning and reporting
- managing all personnel, staffing and training related topics
- implementing efficient workflows and procedures
- marketing
- teaching classes at a high standard
- overseeing the curriculum to ensure lesson plans are being followed accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The individual needs to have prior experience with working with children.
- A background or training in gymnastics, teaching, physical education or child development
- NVQ level two or three certificate
- First Aid course completed in Adults, Children and babies would be desirable
- Advanced Criminal Record check would be beneficial.
