Oxfordshire has a tradition of sporting excellence from the first sub-four minute mile to our most recent Olympic rowing heroes.
As a County Sports Partnership we want to build on this tradition but also enable even more people to benefit from being active through sport.
To this end we are making good progress and you will join at an exciting time with Oxfordshire registering the 4th largest increase in participation in the country, sport included within the new Sustainable Communities strategy and Local Area Agreement and achieving the largest ever revenue grant from the Regional Sports Board.
With so much going on we need to increase our friendly and committed core team with the appointment of an Active Recreation Manager to:
Lead on the £ 1.5 million GO (Get Oxfordshire) Active project Project lead our Extending Activities programme Support our established Community Sport Networks Develop and support Active Recreation projects within the County Get more people active through sport and active recreation
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience leading on multi agency projects
- Good communication and relationship building skills
- Knowledge on increasing sport and active recreation participation
