We are now seeking to appoint a number of staff across our facilities. The posts include full time & part time positions on permanent contracts. These include
Life Guards (Job No: 8059) £11,907 - £13,336 pro rata
Receptionists (Job No: 8060) £11,907 - £13,336 pro rata
Fitness Instructors (Job No:8061) £15,153 - £16,217 pro rata
Ideally all applicants should:
- Have excellent communication skills, with confidence to deal with customer issues
- Confident, polite and approachable
Additionally the applicants for Recreation Assistant should:
- Possess a RLSS/NARS lifesaving qualification or be a strong swimmer (lifesaving training will be given).
Applicants for the Fitness Instructor should:
- Possess a recognised Fitness qualification.
All prospective applicants will need to be able to work at the Council’s eight sport & leisure centres – Barton Pool, Blackbird Leys Pool, Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre, Oxford Ice Rink, Peers Sport Centre, Temple Cowley Pools, Ferry Sport Centre and Hinksey Pool.
Applicants must also be flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
The closing date for all posts will be 27th June 2008 and we will be looking for interviews to take place week commencing 14th July 2008.
Disabled Applicants who meet the essential criteria on the Person Specification will be invited to interview.
These posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants will therefore have to complete a Criminal Record Check before an appointment is made.
