Position Club Manager - Derby

Sector:  Private Members Club

Salary:  circa 27,500 based on experience + Bonus

Location:  Derby

The successful candidate must have a recognised fitness industry qualification with supervisory/management experience within a large gym. Strong leadership skills and motivational qualities are a requisite for this position.

You should have innovative marketing ideas to attract new members, show an ability to control attrition and exhibit effective communication skills with both members and colleagues.

The role will need the application of your management skills for the smooth running of the club including the day to day operations of the facility which will include Health & Safety, Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, a working knowledge of both wet and dry areas but also ensuring that targets from sales and personal training are met.

Duty Manager Shifts will be required, so flexibility and adaptability are important requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Recognised fitness industry qualification (e.g. ISRM, ISPAL,)
• Supervisory/Management experience
• Strong leadership skills
• Motivational qualities to build and maintain a pro-active Fitness team.
• Working Knowledge of both Wet and Dry facilities
• Experience of working to sales and revenue targets.
• Proven record in sales and  marketing
• Track record in using performance management techniques, systems and procedures.
• Effective Communication
• Recruitment and Selection
• Training and Development of staff
• Disciplinary and Grievance Handling
• Ability to enhance secondary income
