Imperial College London’s flagship sports centre, Ethos, is based at its main South Kensington campus. This facility serves Imperial students and staff as well the local community and includes a sports hall, climbing wall, swimming pool, squash courts, state-of-the-art-fitness gym, exercise studio, cafe and sports therapy rooms. Sport Imperial is looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Centre Manager to assist the Centre Manager with the operation of the Centre. The post offers a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to bring their own expertise, skills, ideas and innovations to a still-new facility, so that they may have a major input into both the strategic direction of the Centre and the department as a whole.
We are looking for a dynamic leisure professional with the ability to manage and succeed under pressure. You should have excellent communication, leadership and motivational skills, as well as high standards of customer care. You must also have proven experience of facility management which includes managing people; experience of swimming pool operations and sound knowledge of health and safety legislation. This post will be challenging and demanding, yet rewarding for the right person. The successful candidate will be required to start work as soon as possible.
This post will be working on a shift pattern, including early mornings, evenings and weekend work.
