CHALET HOST/COOK - French Alps

Ski Olympic is an independent winter holiday firm with chalets and chalethotels in only the best snow-sure French resorts of Tignes, Val d'Isere, Courchevel, Meribel, Les Arcs, La Plagne, La Rosiere, and Les Menuires.

The 2008/2009 season will mark our 21st year of operation. Our loyal customers come back with us year after year because of the excellent service we provide and our friendly, enthusiastic staff.

As a medium-sized independent firm, we expect our staff to work very hard, but in return we provide you with the opportunity for a once-in-a-lifetime experience; working in a spectacular setting, meeting interesting people, forging friendships that will last a lifetime, and (if you do your job properly) the chance to get on the slopes 6 days a week.

We are proud of the very competitive package that we offer our staff and the fact that so many return to work with us year after year. All of our new hires are personally interviewed in the UK prior to staff training in France at the beginning of the season.

CHALET HOST/COOK

This role is an integral part of the ‘chalet experience’. You would be the first point of contact for our guests, preparing breakfasts and afternoon teas of freshly baked cakes. On 6 nights per week you would prepare a dinner party or bistro-style 3 course evening meal with vegetarian option. You must be able to work with a menu plan within budget guidelines. This post can be extremely rewarding and is one our guests truly appreciate. You may be required to assist in the cleaning of the chalet depending on its size. Between 8 and 30 covers.
*Minimum Qualifications/Experience:* Extensive kitchen/catering experience to a high level, and knowledge of specialist diets are essential.
Location: French Alps (various resorts).
