The Little Gym is the world’s leading motor skills development programme for children aged 4 months to 12 years.  The programme uses gymnastics as a tool for teaching children motor skills together with exclusive music and activities including balls and games to help enhance physical, emotional, perceptual, social and cognitive development.

Our classes are taught by highly qualified and rigorously trained staff with a love of children.  Our classes are designed to teach children in a safe but challenging, fun environment.  Children at The Little Gym are encouraged to develop individually in a non-competitive environment which will nurture self confidence leading to success in all aspects of future life.

The Little Gym of Harpenden will be opening soon and the owner, Lindsey Venner, is looking forward to recruiting a strong team to help her build the business.  This role of Lead Instructor would suit a physically fit, energetic and enthusiastic team player.

Details of Position

We are looking for a full time lead instructor with excellent communication skills who will assist the programme director with all elements of the weekly lesson plans.  The lead instructor will spend most of the time teaching curriculum based classes to children with the rest of the time dedicated to marketing to potential members and assisting with the day to day routine of the gym.

Qualifications

At least 3 years experience working with children and an NVQ level 3 is desirable in either sports or child development.  A good telephone manner and experience in communicating the benefits of a programme/product to customers and/or marketing would be an advantage.
