The Little Gym is the world’s leading motor skills development programme for children aged 4 months to 12 years.  The programme uses gymnastics as a tool for teaching children motor skills together with exclusive music and activities including balls and games to help enhance physical, emotional, perceptual, social and cognitive development.

The Little Gym of Harpenden will be opening soon and the owner, Lindsey Venner, is looking forward to recruiting a strong team to help her build the business.  This key management role of Programme Director would suit a physically fit, energetic and enthusiastic team player.

Details of Position

We are looking for a full time programme director with excellent communication skills who will assist the Gym Director (franchise owner) with management of the gym and who will have responsibility for training and developing instructors across all elements of the weekly lesson plans.  The Programme Director will spend approximately 60% of the time teaching curriculum based classes to children. The rest of the time will be dedicated to management, training and marketing.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum NVQ3 qualification in: a sports related; education; or management discipline.  A developmental gymnastics background and coaching qualification are desirable.  Candidates should have at least 3 years experience working with children.   Experience in communicating the benefits of a programme/product to customers and/or marketing would be an advantage.
