My client is looking for an exceptional General Manager for their Halls of Residence in London. This is a very varied and demanding role and requires candidates of the highest calibre. This post has overall responsibility for a cluster of halls of residence at one of the top academic insitutions in the UK. You will oversee the operational management of the facilities, be responsible for Health & Safety, manage the team effectively to make best use of resources and ensure all your staff receive appropriate training and development. You should be familiar with controlling and forecasting budgets, meeting financial targets and possess excellent commercial acumen.
Also, you will be expected to work with other departments to maximise the use of the halls during vacations and be dealing with internal and external clients. Excellent customer service & communication skills and a "can do" attitude are essential for this role. You should be educated to degree level or hold a recognised professional qualification relevant to this post. Ideally you will already have had experience in this type of post, but other backgrounds such as hotel/housing association will be considered. This position comes with a salary of up to £46k with a market leading benefits package including final salary pension, 31 days holiday and contributory pension scheme.
