Subject of a proposed refurbishment, The Railway pub is located in Whittlesey, a sought after village location around six miles east of Peterborough. Whittlesey is an ancient Fenland market town with an approximate population of 15,000. The pub is situated in a prime location in the heart of a busy residential area and therefore has a captive customer base from which to build a strong business.
Currently trading as a straightforward wet led pub, the future vision is to premiumise the offer and broaden its appeal by introducing food and coffee. We are currently in the process of developing a refurbishment scheme which will help deliver this proposition.
We are seeking an operator with excellent hospitality skills who can implement and grow a good food and drink offer.
Applicants should be aware that all refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process.
