General Manager - New Opening Health and Fitness Club - Sheffield

My Client pride themselves on changing lives. Their gyms offer extensive facilities which make fitness accessible and affordable. We are currently working together to recruit a General Manager for their new gym in Sheffield. This is an incredible opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK who have significant plans to grow over the next few years.
As the General Manager for a brand new club, you will be tasked with managing the back end of the pre sales process, ensuring the staff are in place for the opening, and to ensure that the membership base is in it's early 1000s to hit the ground running for the sales team. The current membership base in pre sales is 2000, you will be tasked with opening with closer to 5000 members. My client is the market leader for the budget end of gyms, providing high end facilities and customer experience, whilst ensuring that a healthy lifestyle is affordable for all.
As this is a new opening club, the targets and KPI's will be tough and ruthless, with your targeted areas being Front Desk Revenue, Compliant Sales, Staff retention and labour costs, member retention and service standards, and budgeted new members. It will give you an exceptional opportunity to put yourself on the company ladder, and make a huge impact from day one. For these reasons, I am looking for someone who is target driven and motivated by money, and someone who is a great team leader who will maintain a great level of engagement from their team members.
It is essential that you have General Management experience, in a fast paced sales enviroment, whether this be from health and fitness, or from other sectors such as Nightclubs or telecommunications. If you do not have General Management experience, your application will be unsuccessful.
It is essential that you are commercially astute, with budgeting and P&L at the fore front of your day to day responsibilities, along with great marketing skills, to target corporate activities, whilst also assisting the team with in-reach and out-reach activities. You will be managing a Sales Manager with a team of up to 10 membership consultants, a full front of house team and a team of personal trainers and fitness coaches, so experience in managing large teams is essential.
