Basingstoke Aquadrome has a wide range of facilities offering an excellent choice of sporting and leisure activities.  The facilities include a fitness suite, swimming pool with flumes, rapids and splash pools.  There is also a workout studio, health suite and café.  The Aquadrome is open from 6 am to 10 pm Monday to Friday and 7 am to 8 pm Saturday and Sunday. 

What your role will be
Serco Leisure is recruiting a Recreation Assistant to work full time (40 hours).  You will work within the centre ensuring customer care and safety together with high standards of service are delivered at all times.  You will be responsible for the supervision of specific activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and the safe handling and set up of equipment.

You will provide supervision of the swimming pool and dry-side activities and ensure equipment is set up.  You will have a full product knowledge of the services and activities available, monitor customer use to ensure unsafe practices are promptly dealt with and reported accordingly.  Undertake cleaning tasks as required to ensure the centre is well presented and monitor standards of cleanliness in customer critical areas such as changing rooms and toilets.

About you
You will hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent, together with a first aid at work qualification and National Pool Plant Operators Certificate. 

In line with Serco Leisure’s policy, all employees will have a DBS disclosure at an appropriate level.
