Are you an Assistant Manager or experienced Supervisor/Team Leader looking for an exciting new challenge? We have an excellent Assistant Managers at the Doctors Tonic, Welwyn Garden City



The Business

Lunch times are busy on food, evenings and weekend nights busy on liquor, We have a function room available upstairs which can get booked out once or twice a week for private functions where buffets may need to be provided. Live music is often played upstairs by either bands or DJ's. Big lunch groups visit and pre-orders are sometimes taken to help with speed of service. There are 2 other pubs within the town centre, one which has newly opened.


Average weekly turnover: £22000
Split Wet/Food:70/30
Live-In Accommodation: Flat with kitchen, bathroom and 2 other rooms.

Role & Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager you will support the General Manager with all aspects of the successful management of the business.



With the desire to excel, succeed and win, ideally you will have a clear understanding of high-street / late-night operations and how to assist in driving sales and growing profit in this highly competitive environment. You will be energetic and focused, and able to adapt to the demands of both the food and entertainment elements of the business.



With fantastic people skills you will have the ability to lead from the front, to inspire and motivate your team and to engage your customers. Upbeat, efficient customer service, high quality products and exceptional presentational standards are key, so you will need to be genuinely passionate about hospitality and customer service.
