The Pottery Studio is a very popular, creative environment which provides a wide range of pots for our guests to paint and take home as a reminder of their time at Center Parcs.
In the role of Pottery Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a safe and efficient environment for all our guests and will offer guidance and support on ceramic painting and providing solutions where necessary, to ensure a quality product is created for the guest to be proud of.
The bustling environment requires sustainable energy and enthusiasm and the ability to multitask and oversee busy activities ensuring all guests needs are met and exceeded. Other responsibilities will include ensuring high standards of cleanliness and tidiness are maintained and that the large volume of pots are glazed to agreed timescales.
This is a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave until November 2017.
You will be contracted to work 75 hours per 4 week period, on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive your contracted hours each period. You will predominantly work shifts between the hours of 8.30am and 6.30pm and will be required to work every other weekend and some public / bank holidays on a rota basis.

Desirable requirements:
  • Previous pottery experience with a working knowledge of current ceramic techniques
  • Experience of working within the customer care industry
  • The ability to teach methods and practices
