Security Assistant - Liverpool - 16 to 20 hrs
As a Security Assistant you will be supporting the store team in the delivery of excellent customer service and minimising loss, by taking prompt and appropriate action to reduce security risk at customer entrances and key risk areas of the sales floor. You will be required to implement loss prevention measures by acting as a deterrent through visibility, initiating company loss prevention policies and best practices to identify, support and maintain the stores stock loss action plan and assist in the training of security procedures. Working as part of the Loss Prevention team you will ensure a safe and secure environment for staff and customers, working closely with Management, Loss Prevention colleagues and Centre Security where appropriate demonstrating confidentiality at all times.
This is a fully flexible role and will require you to work up to 5 out of 7 full days per week for which rotas will be provided 4 weeks in advance (including weekends & bank holidays). The days and times for each shift may vary depending on the business needs.
You will be a highly proactive individual who has a logical and organised approach, good communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to manage shifting priorities. You should be confident in dealing with stock loss issues, be able to deter and detect theft, and ideally have knowledge of Data Protection and legislation covering theft i.e. PACE. Experience of working with security equipment is desirable and you must be PC literate.
The role can involve the opening and closing of the store as well as being available for emergency call outs, therefore flexibility with working hours is vital.
