If you have proven experience as a cocktail bartender and/or mixologist, some supervisory experience or a desire to gain it, and enjoy the buzz of a busy, contemporary food and beverage environment, this role at the brand new Stirling’s restaurant could be the opportunity you are seeking.
The Royal Automobile Club has recently opened a new cocktail bar and seafood focussed restaurant, Stirling’s at its Woodcote Park clubhouse near Epsom and we are looking for a highly professional and experienced Head Cocktail Bartender to join us at this exciting time. The restaurant takes its name from Sir Stirling Moss OBE, the legendary British motor racing driver, widely recognised as the greatest all-round racing driver in the history of motorsport and who is a member of the Club.
Stirling’s, delivering first class lunch and dinner services, will be open six days a week to our members and their guests and will include a cocktail bar serving a wide range of cocktails, including specially mixed cocktails using favourite ingredients of Sir Stirling and Lady Moss. The restaurant will specialise in a contemporary and classic menu, including seafood as well as fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. That’s where you come in- You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the effective running of your section and team, producing a range of cocktails and other bar drinks.
- Keeping up to date with all food and beverage menus and promotions.
- Preparing and maintaining your working area perfectly.
- Taking responsibility for all monies and balancing members’ accounts.
To succeed, you’ll need to be a team player with a strong commitment to customer service and good communication skills. You should also possess:
- Previous experience as a cocktail bartender.
- A level 1 qualification in basic food hygiene, ideally with an NVQ in food service.
- An awareness of licensing laws.
- Previous experience of operating an electronic point of sale system would be preferred.
