Hours: WTE 22 hours a week over 4 days (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Fitness Instructor to join our new service, based at Bowmere Hospital. This post is a part time post (0.59 WTE 22 hours a week) over 4 days (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday).
The service aims to provide a gym service, exercise sessions and health promotion to our service users who are in hospital, within the following areas: Child and Adolescent Mental Health (12-18 year olds based at Ancora House), Adult Mental Health (Bowmere Hospital) and Learning Disabilities (Eastway inpatient service).
This post holder will be coordinating and maintaining our gym facility, leading the day to day running of the service, and overseeing a team of fitness instructors. The team will be based at the newly refurbished gym facility on the Bowmere Hospital site, as well as running sessions on the wards. All wards are on the Countess of Chester Health Park site.
You will be a highly motivated, adaptable and creative person with appropriate experience to at least Level 3 certificate (REPS recognised) . You will be closely supported by the Lead Occupational Therapist to develop our new service and also work with hospital clinical staff.
You will be passionate about improving the physical health and wellbeing of vulnerable young people and adults. You will be able to communicate with people from all walks of life and be able to motivate and empower others using a collaborative and supportive approach.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and organisational skills and be committed to service development and team working.
