The tradition of taking tea and that little bit of something between lunch and dinner has long since been a feature at Fortnum & Mason. Our tranquil Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon was opened by HM The Queen and has since become a stylish destination for the most traditional of afternoon teas.
Every person within Fortnum & Mason plays a valuable part in ensuring we continually strive to be better and make a significant contribution in driving the success of the business. We are looking for a charismatic and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to work alongside the Restaurant Manager in managing daily operations within our beautiful Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon.
This is a challenging opportunity with significant scope to develop quickly. The role of Assistant Manager will suit individuals who have the necessary skills and experience suited to a high volume yet fine dining restaurant.
As an Assistant Manager you will need to be customer focused and deliver exceptional service whilst supporting the Restaurant Manager in delivering sales, budgets & margins, cost control and people management. Given this, you will be very process driven and have the autonomy to drive success.
Working across Front of House operations you will already have had 3+ years’ experience in roster development, customer service and complaint resolution, team leadership and motivation, and FOH administration. More importantly you'll know what it takes to deliver a world-class experience under pressure and smiling. You will be the motivating force behind the team and assist in upholding team morale.
