With 4 successful restaurants in London, we are now heading out of the M25 to Cambridge. Specialising in high quality fresh food based on a unique combination of traditional sushi and yakitori sticks from the grill. The Japanese kitchen is all about technique, tradition and precision. And this means that your hands, head and heart must be in harmony.
As a Sous Chef you must be knowledgeable in food safety and delivering high standards of hygiene practice. You must take responsibility for training and development and to ensure team deliver the freshest high-quality food to our guests.
Experience is essential and preference within a Japanese kitchen. You must be a level headed, and a good communicator in both written and verbal English. We are offering a competitive salary package.
As a Sous Chef you’re the one that is heard in a kitchen where everybody wants a say. You have to lead and set the rhythm when the music is playing and the guests are ordering. You can look everyone in the eye and have a high spirits, lots of energy and a great head for business, which makes it obvious for everyone that you are in command.
We only employ people with big smiles and small egos. We don’t want to waste our time on colleagues who aren’t team players, or on skilful people who think they’re the mutt’s nuts.
