ABOUT US
We are looking to recruit a Data Quality Manager to join our newly formed Data and Analytics team here at Head Office. This is an exciting opportunity, as the In-house database will, for the first time, bring our core data together and enable the business insights and value to be unlocked. This role will therefore be key to putting data at the heart of the business, enabling business intelligence across a single customer view.

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will manage the data quality and integrity of the new in-house database, monitoring, checking and validating the data flows across the data warehouse; using this as a foundation for providing the business with accurate and actionable information.
You will be responsible for introducing a new Data Governance framework (including data security, definitions, policies, rules and protection) and providing the business with data quality dashboards, flagging any issues that arise. In addition you will carry out ad hoc analysis for investigating data quality across the data warehouse. This may include linking and manipulating large data to resolve any questions or queries or data profiling to validate integrity.
Other responsibilities will include developing data quality metrics to measure data quality and integrity, based on a combination of business rules and SLA's for internal and external stakeholders. You will also support the roll out of Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics, which will see the business move into predictive analytics and modelling.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as you will communicate to business teams & stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience as a senior data quality specialist within a large organisation, with proven leadership skills as you will be required to influence other relevant teams and departments within the business.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period. Normal office hours at Head Office are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, however flexibility may be required.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
  • Experience in managing the procedures and policies aligned with the Data Protection Act
  • Proven experience as a senior data quality specialist within a large organisation, with required leadership and communications skills to influence other relevant teams and departments
  • Experience of data quality solutions and methodology
  • Passion for continuous improvement and an advocate for data quality
  • Relevant Data Management Qualifications
  • Track record in Data Quality measurement and improvement
  • Knowledge of SQL, Advanced Excel and Access
  • High attention to detail, ability to problem solve, excellent analytical skills
  • A level and/or degree in statistics, mathematics and or technical related subject
Desirable Requirements:
  • Implementing Data Management Solutions / disciplines from scratch
  • Expert in compiling Data security, privacy and retention polices
  • Experience in Business Intelligence
