ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Head of Corporate Sales with excellent leadership and management skills along with tenacious drive, passion and initiative to lead the Center Parcs sales and marketing strategy and the day-to-day approach within the Corporate Hospitality and Events sector.
If appointed, you will use your expertise and experience to grow the business profitably by managing, leading and developing your sales and marketing team, based at Head Office, and working closely with operational colleagues to ensure product development and delivery of great customer service and of course, world class events.
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience within a multi-site and multi-sales channel environment, including a minimum of 3 years managing your own team, preferably business to business within the hotel and corporate hospitality sectors. You will also have a proven track record of independently generating new business and closing the sale and have experience of dealing with personal annual targets in excess of £10m and individual accounts delivering in excess of £500k per annum.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to network and build effective and positive working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally. You will have overall responsibility for divisional budgets in respect of headline sales, planning, phasing and proposal, marketing and profitability and you will also be commercially astute, have a strong financial acumen, build and plan long-term sales & marketing strategies, while having meticulous attention to detail.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period. Normal Head Office working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, due to the nature of this role flexibility will be required.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a multi-site and multi-sales channel sales environment, generally within travel and specifically in the MICE sector.
  • Dealing with personal annual revenue targets in excess of £5m and individual accounts in excess of £250k p.a., with a focus on overall profitability.
  • Minimum of 3 years leading, coaching, developing and motivating a Sales Team with evidence on the achievement of service and sales targets.
  • A proven track record of independently generating new business, negotiating large contracts at senior levels and closing the sale.
  • Self-motivated individual able to work independently as well as part of a broader team understanding the power of Brand integrity and the need to focus ultimately on generating incremental profits for the Center Parcs business.
  • Able to network and build effective working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
