ABOUT THE ROLE 
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst to join our newly formed Data & Analytics team here are Head Office. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategy and implementation of advanced/predictive analytics (Customer Segmentation, Customer Lifetime Modelling), introducing any new analytical tools required. You will manage the analytics team to utilise data to answer long standing business questions across the revenue streams (Accommodation, On Village Spend etc.) and develop new insights to support future business decisions.
The successful candidate will have the ability to combine data with insight, organise and analyse large data sets to provide intelligence on how the business interacts with customers, whilst adding a human perspective and business knowledge that will create true actionable insight. Importantly, you will have the leadership and coaching qualities to develop the in-house team of Analysts and create a centre of analytical excellence.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with proven experience within a highly numerate or data driven role.
You will have advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel and Access and an expert understanding of how to manipulate and interpret complex / imperfect data sets. 
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period.  Normal office hours at Head Office are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, however flexibility may be required. 
ABOUT YOU 
Essential requirements:
  • Educated to A level mathematics and/or a degree in a mathematics, statistics or analytical related subject
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel and Access
  • Proven experience in a highly numerate or data driven role
  • An expert understanding of how to manipulate and interpret complex/imperfect data sets
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Evidence of management and coaching skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Methodical with excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Analytical problem solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills 
Desirable requirements:
  • Experience in working in Insight / Business Intelligence team
  • Experience of advanced analytics or predictive analytic modelling
  • Excellent understanding of the application of statistics and statistical modelling techniques such as linear and logistic regression, among others
  • Proven knowledge and use of Analytical Tools (e.g. Qlikview R, SAS, SPSS etc.), with previous hands-on experience of comparable analysis/reporting tools
