ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Nursery Nurse to join the team in our Activity Den on a fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave from October 2016 to July 2017.
Different from a traditional nursery, our sessions will see you spark the imagination of younger guests by delivering mini-adventures, sometimes in character, and create memories that last a lifetime.
You will have a naturally outgoing personality and enjoy working as part of a team to deliver a range of interesting, entertaining and challenging activities whilst providing a high standard of childcare within a safe environment.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to apply for disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB). This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 34 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means your hours and days of work could vary each week but you will always receive your contracted hours each period. The earliest shift start time will be 8:30am and the latest finish will be 5:30pm. Flexibility is required as you will need to work some weekends and public/bank holidays on a rota basis.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
  • A minimum of NVQ level 2 in childcare or equivalent, preferably a level 3
  • Excellent customer care, experience of working with children and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to build rapport with both adults and children in groups of different sizes
  • You should have a naturally cheerful personality and be able to perform under pressure
Closing date: 4 October 2016
