Who we are

The fabulous Brooklands Hotel has been opened since 2010 and is a modern sleek style Art Deco inspired building with bedrooms and conference suites offering state of the art facilities located on the site of the historic Brooklands race track. The 2 AA Rosette 1907 restaurant bar and grill and bar are contemporary with the highest quality throughout delivering a great experience for our guests. The hotel offers a luxurious spa and is the upper end of the four star category and appeals to both the local corporate and leisure guests. What we look for

We are looking for someone with hotel experience ideally, who has a positive friendly nature, with good organisation and time management skills. Strong communication and customer focused with attention to detail, ability to work to deadlines, committed and focused a great team player that can live our ‘Make it Happen’ ethos.

Key responsibilities include

To develop the hotel business through proactive up selling activities and the effective conversion of all suitable enquiries. Reception Role be friendly and efficient in dealing with arrival and departure guests and deal with any enquiries, special requests and offer that wow experience. Reservations and Reception make up our Make your Day team.

  1. To have a good knowledge of all Hotel facilities and services.
  2. To handle all room & spa treatment telephone, personal and written enquiries promptly, in a friendly manner and in line with Company standards.
  3. To carry out Reservation shifts and tasks as per the Departmental Procedures Schedule.
  4. Dealing with customer feedback in the correct manner.
  5. To use every opportunity to maximise Hotel Revenue through up-selling the hotel reservations whilst ensuring excellent customer care standards.
  6. To maximise selling opportunities by adding customer value at every opportunity.
  7. To ensure that any possible leads are given to the proactive Sales Team.
  8. To ensure efficient and effective communications throughout the Hotel and the Sales Department by correctly taking and passing on information and guests messages.
  9. To assist with processing arrivals and departures of customers making them feel comfortable and welcome as necessary.
  10. Accurate payments to be dealt with in accordance with the Hotel’s standards and the company’s cash handling procedures.
  11. To handle customer and visitor enquiries or requests providing correct and accurate assistance or information which meets the customer needs.
  12. To ensure all daily, weekly and monthly tasks are complete. 
  13. To attend team meetings as required.
  14. To maintain and adhere to Company policies and standards at all times
  15. Understanding Company requirements regarding health & safety policy, COSHH, fire and bomb procedures.
  16. To report any irregularities, defects or damage of equipment of facilities to Management immediately.
