ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Kitchen Steward, you will be responsible for assisting the Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Supervisor with the cleaning of the kitchen and wash up areas. Responsibilities will include operating pot-washing machinery, sweeping and mopping floors and disposing of kitchen waste.
The successful candidate must:
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Have the ability to work on their own or as part of a team.
  • Have good communication skills
  • Observe COSHH and Health and Safety guidelines at all times
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 32 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week.
The kitchen is open seven days a week and your working hours will be allocated between the hours of 8.00am and 9.30pm. You will also be required to work weekends and public / bank holidays.
ABOUT YOU
Desirable requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward / Porter is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
