Street League use sport and physical activity to help bring an end to youth unemployment. We specialise in helping our participants (16-24 year olds from disadvantaged communities) progress from our unique football or dance fitness and education programmes into sustainable employment, education and training.
We are a growing organisation and currently operate across the UK in 14 regions, including Greater London, the North East and North West of England, Yorkshire, the Midlands and across Scotland in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Dunbartonshire, Ayrshire, Clyde West, Edinburgh & the Lothians. We have an international profile and we engage over 2000 participants each year.
Based in Clyde West, the Youth & Community Coach will be required to deliver football sessions and to deliver a sports-related qualification on the Street League Academy. They will also be responsible for carrying out outreach for sessions and to recruit and sustain participants on the Academy to ensure delivery targets are met.
Minimum requirements are SFA Level 3 or above, experience in coaching preferably with young people aged 16-24 and an understanding of the Street League client group. A teaching qualification and/or an assessor qualification with experience in SQA delivery is desirable. A full driver’s licence and own transport is preferable.
