We’re noisy about food. We taste it, try it, argue about it and when it’s exactly right we enjoy it. When we opened the first Carluccio's in 1999 our aim was to provide this love for authentic Italian food with a memorable experience to all our guests. The aim remains the same today. Over the years, we have grown to over 100 restaurants, with a plan to open another 10 restaurants a year.....and keep on doing what we love.

Based at our Covent Garden head office, you will spend your time simply making sure that Carluccio’s is EPIC. We are looking for a generalist HR Advisor to join the team, someone who is looking to take the next step in their career, with a background in casual dining or hospitality (which is essential). You will be reporting to the HR Manager and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We need someone who is passionate about treating our people "right" with a real desire to drive our business forward through our teams.

What will I do...

  • Support and advise line managers and employees on HR and contractual issues in line with best practice (demonstrating commercial/industry knowledge and experience)
  • Coordinate a wide range of generalist HR activities in relation to the employee life cycle including maternity/paternity, flexible working, long term sickness, absence management, right to work documentation, learning and development, compensation and benefits, reward and recognition and HRIS.
  • Manage first line queries and lower level employee relations queries, escalating to the HR Manager where appropriate
  • Work with General Managers and Operations Managers to deliver HR solutions across the estate.
  • Work with the HR Manager to develop employee engagement and deliver/co-ordinate HR initiatives across the business that will help make Carluccio’s a great place to work.

What will I need...

  • No way round this one you need to have worked in the restaurant/casual dining industry
  • A clear thinker who is cool and calm under pressure and communicates with confidence and control to a wide variety of stakeholders whilst still having warmth and a good sense of humour.
  • A strong ability to gain commitment and support from across the business.
  • Natural ability to work with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrable commitment, determination, and resourcefulness when faced with obstacles.
  • Being trustworthy and comfortable dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to build strong relationships is a must.
  • Ability to prioritise is crucial as you will manage a diverse workload across a range of topics, whilst being a strategic innovative thinker.
  • A forward thinking, open minded individual who seeks innovative ways to bring new trends in HR to Carluccio’s.
  • 2 years+ HR experience in hospitality/casual dining
  • Professional qualification within HR/business field (ideally CIPD (part) qualified)
